On Cloud 9
Today I had my first paid photo shoot. It was so much fun and the pictures came out lovely. I can't wait to update my portfolio and see my clients face when she sees her pictures.
I have been battling myself for about a year about whether I was good enough to actually pursue photography. Well today I found out that I am good enough to pursue photography. I have learned that I have to stop comparing myself to other photographers because no two photographers are the same. If you put two photographers into the same room with the same model you will have two different pictures and that is amazing. Because if everyone took the same image and had the same point of view then what would be inspiring about photography. So today I vow to stop comparing myself to other photographers and do what I love and capture what I see.

Lai's 7 years old Now
Yesterday was Lai's 7th birthday. I can't believe that the little baby I held February 16,2002 is now 7 years old. I remember the first day I saw her and feel instantly in love with her. She was so tiny I thought she was going to break, I was scared to hold her. But it only took me about 5 minutes before I picked her up and looked into her big brown eyes. I knew I would do and give anything to ensure her safety and happiness. We have our good days and we have those days were I want to throw in the towel, but then she comes and gives me a hug and says she loves me and it just makes things all better. I never thought I could love anyone this much, but I do and her name is Alaina and she is now 7 years old!!

Political Chat with the Kids
So I took the girls Lai 6yrs. and Pinkie 3yrs. outside to enjoy the beautiful day. Well I decided to ask about politics and stuff.
Me: Lai who is our current President
Lai: George Washington
Me: Close George Bush
Lai: Oh Yeah
Me: Do you know the two guys who want to be our new President
Lai: Uhm, Barack Obama and John McClean
Me: Close, Barack Obama and John McCain
Me: If you could vote which one would you chose and why?
Lai: I would pick Barack Obama, because he isn't a poor sport.
So then I turn to Pinkie who is 3yrs old.
Me: If you had to pick who our next President was who would you pick and why?
Pinkie: I would pick John McCain
Me: Ok, Why?
Pinkie: Because he can turn into a Butterfly
Me and Lai: After we laughed we said ok that was a very good answer.
I think for two young girls they are very smart and have their difference of opinions and they have their reasons why and stick to them.
A few moments later we saw a Military airplane that flies the tanks and stuff. They asked what it was and what was in it. I told them that it was a military plane that flies the tanks, armor, and weapons to our soldiers. They said why do they need the tanks and weapons. I told them that the Military Men and Women needed them to keep us safe and let us remain free to play outside and talk about these kinds of things. They said Oh Ok, lets finish collecting rocks. I love these two little girls more then anything in the world.
